IT Operations Engineer

About the role

MDX is hiring an IT Operations Engineer in Dubai within its Security organisation. The team is moving toward self-running IT: automated device provisioning, AI-assisted troubleshooting and MDM policies enforced without approval. You will keep infrastructure healthy and help build secure-by-design systems.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain systems proactively, identify problems before they fail, and fix symptoms while finding the root cause.
• Build scripts, workflows and integrations to shorten incident response and remove humans from the critical path.
• Own the endpoint lifecycle: software deployments, policy enforcement and compliance checks.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and site-to-site networking across global offices.
• Prepare equipment and access for new hires before their first day.
• Share knowledge and build reusable resources.

Required profile

• Independent troubleshooting of hardware, software and networking issues, with clear documentation.
• Strong written and spoken English and the ability to explain technical problems simply.
• Ownership of mistakes and willingness to share what you learn.

Required skills

• MacOS (primary) and Linux, including their security models.
• Enterprise networking: Fortigate, Aruba, Cisco or similar firewalls, switches and access points.
• Automation: shell scripting (bash/zsh), Python, Ansible, MDM tools such as Jamf, and API integrations.

Only applicants applying through the advertised application link will be considered; the Apply Now button is not used.
