IT Operations & Infrastructure Senior Specialist

About the role

Mercedes Benz Group is looking for an experienced IT Operations & Infrastructure Senior Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of core IT systems and services. You will play a key role in maintaining secure, stable and scalable infrastructure while supporting transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and manage physical and virtual Windows servers, guaranteeing high availability and performance.
• Maintain network infrastructure and equipment, implementing proactive measures to minimise downtime.
• Support security risk mitigation and data‑governance activities across the environment.
• Coordinate incident and service‑request resolution using ServiceNow, adhering to SLA and KPI targets.
• Own daily system‑access operations for internal employees and external dealer users, ensuring proper rights and compliance.
• Oversee the full payment cycle for IT invoices, including PO creation and invoice processing.
• Manage IT procurement of hardware, software, licences and services, conducting vendor evaluations.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and appropriate stock levels for business continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure or system administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows servers, virtualization platforms and networking equipment.
• Solid understanding of information security practices and frameworks.
• Experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of corporate procurement processes.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, cloud certifications) are a plus.
