IT Specialist – Hotel Technology Support

About the role

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join the technology team at Rixos Premium Dubai JBR. You will support the hotel’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software and telecommunications for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the IT Supervisor/Manager with installation, maintenance and operation of hotel IT hardware and software.
• Provide first- and second-level support for PCs, peripherals, mobile devices and telecom systems.
• Manage CCTV systems and support IT security and asset management activities.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, Wi-Fi, Internet and IP-telephony issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Install and configure desktops, applications, patches, peripherals and network drives; perform PC moves, additions and changes.
• Monitor daily backups, system interfaces, servers and logs.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventories, service-call logs and stock of supplies.
• Coordinate third-party IT contractors and service providers.
• Support hospitality systems such as Opera, Micros, Fidelio, SunSystems and Oasys.
• Handle IT-related phone enquiries and provide courteous support to all users.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–2 years of IT support experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems and networking (LAN/Wi-Fi, IP-telephony).
• Basic understanding of CCTV, telecommunications, data communication and IT security.
• Familiarity with hospitality applications (Opera, Micros, Fidelio, SunSystems, Oasys) is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
