IT Specialist

About the role

Join the IT team of The Lana, a luxury hotel within the Dorchester Collection, and become a key player in delivering seamless technology experiences for guests. You will work in a vibrant, inclusive community that values passion, creativity and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all guest‑facing systems (Opera, Simphony, Call Accounting, HSIA, PABX, Food & Beverage POS) are operational 24/7 with no downtime.
• Act as the first point of contact for any IT‑related guest complaints and resolve them as a priority.
• Maintain hotel applications and network infrastructure according to Dorchester Collection standards and policies.
• Provide hands‑on support for desktop operating systems, application patches and backup processes.
• Monitor the IT Helpdesk, prioritize tickets and close them efficiently.
• Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance in telecom rooms and keep records up to date.

Required profile

• Diploma in IT or a related field with at least 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel environment in the Middle East.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, independent work ethic and excellent communication in English.
• Creative, customer‑service oriented mindset with a passion for hospitality technology.
• CCNA and Microsoft certifications are desirable.
