IT Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an IT Supervisor to support the technology operations of Sofitel Dubai The Palm, a 5‑star resort in Dubai. Working closely with the IT Manager, you will ensure the hotel’s hardware, software and telecommunications infrastructure run smoothly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the IT Manager in daily operation, installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
• Serve as secondary contact for PC hardware and software servicing, handling adds/moves/changes/deletions.
• Manage the technology asset life‑cycle, including ordering and availability of PCs, servers and telecom equipment.
• Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning for hotel technology.
• Identify and resolve system performance issues and ensure assets comply with Sofitel policies.
• Install, monitor and maintain telecommunications equipment, cabling, routers, switches and PABX systems.
• Provide desktop support: imaging, software deployment, patching, drive mapping.
• Support mobile phone issues and troubleshoot high‑speed internet connectivity.
• Escalate hardware and software problems to vendors and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT support within a hospitality or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of hardware, networking and telecommunications equipment.
• Ability to manage asset inventories and coordinate disaster recovery activities.
• Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
