IT Support Engineer – Dubai

About the role

Zahr Freighters is seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join its technology team in Dubai. You will ensure the stability and security of the company’s IT infrastructure while providing prompt technical assistance to employees.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other hardware.
• Provide first‑line support for hardware, software, operating systems and network issues, both on‑site and remotely.
• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN networks, Wi‑Fi connectivity and internet services.
• Manage user accounts, email systems, passwords and access permissions.
• Perform software installations, updates, antivirus management and routine system maintenance.
• Execute regular backups and assist with disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Maintain IT asset inventories, technical documentation and support records.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment repairs and software licensing.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and cybersecurity best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support or system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with Active Directory, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi and printer management.
• Familiarity with cloud services, cybersecurity practices and backup solutions.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft or Cisco are a plus.
