IT Support Officer

About the role

The IT Support Officer supports and maintains Nextcare's IT systems, including desktop provision, network infrastructure and associated software and business applications, so that all employees have a technically sound working environment. The role is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Provide user support and troubleshoot system and network problems, documenting solutions in the IT Knowledge Base
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures, user manuals and guidelines
• Install and configure hardware, operating systems and applications according to standards
• Maintain and monitor computer systems, networks and the data centre, keeping them available and resilient
• Maintain the IT asset register and help with compliance audits
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate the purchase of IT equipment and consumables
• Contribute to IT projects and carry out other duties as instructed by the manager

Required profile

• University degree in computer science or another relevant discipline
• 3+ years in a similar role with hands-on technical experience
• ITIL, A+, CCNA, Azure fundamentals and O365 certifications are preferable

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, hardware, software and troubleshooting
• Experience with IT ticketing systems, asset management and user account administration
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication and customer service skills
