IT Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to provide onsite consultancy and technical expertise for an enterprise IT environment. The consultant will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, troubleshooting, and providing recommendations to enhance the performance, availability, security, and reliability of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Review IT systems and infrastructure performance and provide technical recommendations to ensure high availability, optimal performance, security, and reliability.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for system‑related incidents and develop plans to improve application availability and performance.
• Develop forecasts for server and storage growth, capacity planning, risk management, and Business Continuity Plans in line with ISO standards.
• Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery Plans and participate in DR drill execution.
• Support compliance with UAE IA Standards, NESA, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Provide L2/L3 support for infrastructure incidents and participate in Major Incident Management activities within an ITIL framework.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, troubleshooting, and enterprise infrastructure support.
• Strong experience with L2/L3 infrastructure support, root‑cause analysis, Disaster Recovery, and ITIL processes.
• Excellent technical documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills.
