Java Software Engineer – Payments Platform

About the role

Menta is seeking a Java Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core services of its payments platform. You will work in a high‑availability, PCI‑grade environment where reliability, accuracy, and security are paramount.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement and integrate payment and core‑banking features such as transactions, ledgers, and card APIs.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and participate in peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, scalable services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents in a high‑availability environment.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience building or integrating payments or core‑banking systems.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle) and Git.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and reliability standards in fintech.
