Junior Accountant (Emiratisation)

About the role

Emirates Group is looking for a Junior Accountant to support its Emiratisation initiative. Based in Dubai, you will work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment where your accounting expertise contributes to the financial strategy of a global aviation business.

Key responsibilities

• Generate financial entries and invoices, resolve proration, tax and revenue accounting exceptions.
• Process incentive/ORC and refund payments, reconcile control accounts and clear nominal balances.
• Audit documents, identify discrepancies, raise under‑collections and update master data in the accounting system.
• Respond to disputes, perform customer account reconciliation and escalate settlement delays.
• Process revenue accounting transactions, clear exceptions, conduct fare/refund audits and maintain ISO‑standard procedures.
• Assist supervisors with pre‑ and post‑closing accounting functions and ad‑hoc assignments.
• Support internal and external customers by providing required information and answering queries.
• Reconcile sales, interline and revenue clearing accounts to ensure accurate balances.
• Generate accounting entries for head‑office versus station differences and pass provisions, accruals, reversals and exchange differences.
• Raise invoices, billing memos, credit notes and handle inward billed invoices after cost‑centre approval.

Required profile

• UAE national (Emiratisation) with a high‑school qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good analytical skills and capability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting system(s) for data entry, reconciliation and reporting.
