Junior Accountant – Finance Shared Services

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support the Finance Department’s day‑to‑day accounting operations within the Shared Services unit. You will maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and prepare payments.
• Prepare customer invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and manage credit card and petty cash entries.
• Post journal entries for prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets; maintain balance‑sheet schedules.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist with any additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance (professional certification a plus).
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE/GCC region.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365.
