Junior Accountant

About the role

Beehive, a DFSA-regulated SME finance platform operating across the UAE, Oman and KSA, is looking for a Junior Accountant in Dubai. The role keeps the books accurate, complete and on time, handling day-to-day accounting for the group's entities and supporting a clean, timely month-end close. It is a hands-on position with plenty of room to learn how finance works inside a regulated, growing fintech.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices, payments and expense claims.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
• Perform bank, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple currencies.
• Support the month-end and year-end close, including preparing schedules and supporting documents.
• Assist with VAT returns and other tax filings across the UAE, Oman and KSA entities.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and keep the general ledger clean and up to date.
• Work with HR on payroll reconciliations and related postings.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing requested information and documentation.
• Help with regulatory and management reporting as needed, and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally from an audit firm, financial services or fintech.
• Working towards, or having completed, a professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA or CPA.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and core accounting principles.
• Detail-oriented, organised, reliable with deadlines and clear communication in English.
• Bonus: exposure to UAE, Oman or KSA VAT, multi-entity or multi-currency accounting, or a DFSA-regulated environment.
