Junior Accountant – Restaurant Finance

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to support the financial operations of our fast‑growing restaurant chain in Dubai. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate bookkeeping, sales reconciliation and compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records and bookkeeping for multiple restaurant outlets.
• Reconcile restaurant sales with POS, cash, credit‑card and online delivery platform reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, verify supplier invoices and monitor outstanding balances.
• Perform bank, cash, credit‑card and POS reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash and daily cash transactions.
• Assist with inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, food costing and wastage analysis.
• Prepare monthly P&L, sales analysis, expense and cash‑flow reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Calculate, document and file UAE VAT returns.
• Maintain audit documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions and assist with cost‑control analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in the food‑service industry.
• Strong understanding of restaurant accounting and daily sales reconciliation.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and basic accounting requirements.
• Experience with accounting software and restaurant POS systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
