Junior / Assistant Accountant

About the role

AFPC UAE is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior / Assistant Accountant to join its Finance Team in Dubai. The role supports daily accounting operations, maintains accurate financial records, performs reconciliations and assists with month-end reporting in a collaborative FMCG and food distribution environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and process daily accounting transactions
• Support Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Prepare and reconcile customer Statements of Account (SOA)
• Perform inventory, stock, supplier and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with month-end closing, financial reporting and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with internal departments, customers and suppliers to resolve accounting queries
• Keep accounting documentation and records organised

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• No experience required; experience in FMCG, trading or inventory accounting is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, communication, organisation and multitasking
• Teamwork and a positive attitude
