Junior Associate - M&A & Venture Capital

About the role

A leading international law firm in Dubai is looking for a Junior Associate to join its Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) practice. The role suits an ambitious junior lawyer who wants to build specialist expertise in the region's growing venture capital and technology ecosystem while working on high-quality international transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Venture capital and emerging companies: advise startups, founders, emerging companies and institutional investors on seed, Series A and later-stage financings
• Mergers and acquisitions: assist on domestic and cross-border acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and strategic transactions
• Private equity and growth equity: support investments in high-growth businesses, minority stakes, growth capital deals and exits
• Corporate advisory: shareholder arrangements, corporate governance, restructurings and general corporate matters
• Transaction execution: legal due diligence, drafting and negotiating documents, closing coordination and liaison with local and international counsel
• Client engagement: work with partners and senior lawyers and build relationships with entrepreneurs, funds and corporate clients

Required profile

• Experience in a reputable international, regional or leading domestic law firm
• Strong foundation in corporate transactional work, ideally including venture capital, M&A, private equity or investment transactions
• Interest in developing a specialist practice advising emerging companies, founders and VC investors
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, commercially minded approach
• Arabic is highly desirable, especially alongside strong professional English

• Ability to handle complex, multi-jurisdictional matters
