Junior Buyer – Luxury Menswear – Multi‑brand Department Stores

About the role

At Bloomingdale’s and Harvey Nichols Fashion we set the benchmark for luxury fashion retail in the GCC. We are looking for an experienced Junior Buyer to join our Menswear team, working with leading emerging and contemporary brands across multi‑brand department stores in the MENA region. This role offers the chance to shape assortments that inspire and delight discerning customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of seasonal buying strategies for menswear.
• Manage a category within the department, building commercially balanced assortments.
• Research global fashion trends, emerging brands, competitors and customer insights.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international luxury brand partners and suppliers.
• Assist with buying appointments, product selection, pricing and assortment planning.
• Monitor sales performance, sell‑through, stock levels and market trends to recommend trading actions.
• Prepare product, competitor and trend presentations for buying leadership.
• Collaborate with planning, merchandising, supply chain, visual merchandising, finance and store operations for successful product launches.

Required profile

• 3–5 years’ experience in fashion menswear buying or category management within a luxury department store.
• Experience working with international fashion brands.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to analyse sales performance and market trends.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Degree in Fashion, Buying, Merchandising, Business or related discipline (preferred).
• Flexibility to travel internationally for buying appointments and market visits.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
