Junior Engineer – Facilities Management

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Engineer to join the Total Facilities Management team in Dubai. The role supports MEP operations across multiple sites, coordinating with supervisors, team leaders and technicians to ensure smooth service delivery, safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily MEP tasks and support technicians across various disciplines.
• Review and follow up on work orders using CAFM systems, ensuring timely completion.
• Identify recurring issues and help develop practical solutions.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs during maintenance, shutdowns and commissioning.
• Support execution of small‑scale projects and system upgrades.
• Monitor basic performance indicators and report concerns to senior staff.
• Help manage service providers and ensure contract compliance.
• Assist in preparing proposals, procurement coordination and budget tracking.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations (DEWA, Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.).
• Maintain inventory of tools, materials and consumables.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2–3 years of facility‑management experience, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
• Experience supervising technical teams and handling multiple services.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of LV electrical systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems (chilled water and DX).
• Familiarity with plumbing setups.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Experience with CAFM/CMMS work‑order management.
• Awareness of safety, quality, QHSE procedures and emergency protocols.
• Inventory tracking and spare‑parts management.
• Foundational facility‑management practices.
