Junior Legal Counsel (Emirati Talent)

About the role

The Junior Legal Counsel will support EDGE's HALCON Legal Department in a fast‑moving, technology‑focused environment. You will conduct legal research, draft contracts and opinions, and ensure compliance with UAE statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Research case facts and legal precedents using internal files and external sources.
• Perform due diligence on contracts and business agreements to verify statutory compliance.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, contracts, and correspondence in both English and Arabic.
• Maintain legal records, databases, statutory books, and law library.
• Handle day‑to‑day operational legal enquiries from business units while ensuring confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law with 3–5 years of experience in a law firm or multinational legal department.
• Strong drafting abilities for contracts and legal opinions.
• Proficiency in legal research and document analysis.
• Knowledge of UAE laws and international legal practices.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
