Director Legal (Corporate)

About the role

The Director Legal (Corporate) will support the business on corporate and commercial matters, providing strategic advice and ensuring legal risks are managed across a diversified investment group based in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Provide briefings and updates to senior leadership on legal matters affecting the business.
• Develop and streamline corporate and commercial precedent documents.
• Participate in negotiation and drafting of legal documents for corporate and commercial transactions.
• Review and amend agreements, MOUs and contracts with government authorities.
• Manage corporate structures, constitutional documents and liaise with local counsel on international projects.
• Oversee the company’s intellectual property portfolio and coordinate with external counsel.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in Dubai and the UAE and advise on necessary procedural updates.
• Support junior lawyers and provide guidance on a range of legal matters.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales or equivalent jurisdiction.
• Thorough knowledge of corporate laws and practices in Dubai.
• At least 10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong legal writing, drafting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural and multilingual environment.
