Junior Legal Counsel – Manager Level

About the role

Asia Football Group is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel (Manager) to support its legal and business affairs across AFC competition media rights, services agreements and day‑to‑day corporate matters. Reporting to the VP Legal, the role will work closely with the legal team and various internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support marketing and sale of AFC media rights, including drafting and negotiating media agreements.
• Draft and negotiate service provider and supplier agreements, prepare statements of work and SLAs.
• Provide legal advice on marketing, digital, operations, event delivery, corporate and employment matters.
• Implement contract negotiation processes, manage risk and confidentiality, and stay updated on legal and regulatory developments in major Asian markets.
• Build trusted relationships with AFC commercial and legal teams and manage external counsel and client interactions.

Required profile

• University degree and professional qualification to practice law in a major jurisdiction.
• Approximately two years of legal experience, preferably in football or sports media, with a solid understanding of IP law.
• Experience at a well‑established international law firm and exposure to Asian markets is an advantage.
• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Fluent written and spoken English and willingness to travel internationally.
