Key Account Manager - Rare Disease

About the role

LEO Pharma is seeking a Key Account Manager to advance rare dermatology care across complex healthcare ecosystems in the UAE. You will shape how rare dermatological diseases are understood, identified and supported, working with a purpose‑driven team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic account plans for priority hospitals, specialist centres, dermatology clinics and referral networks.
• Map and engage key stakeholders such as dermatologists, pediatric dermatologists, geneticists, specialist nurses, pharmacists, diagnostic labs, patient organisations, payers and health authorities.
• Strengthen rare‑disease capability by deepening knowledge of disease progression, patient journeys, standards of care, referral systems and reimbursement.
• Identify gaps in patient pathways and provide actionable insights to support disease‑awareness and education initiatives.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Compliance, Pharmacovigilance, Marketing, Patient Services, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor account performance and contribute to launch preparation.
• Ensure all interactions comply with approved content, company procedures, local regulations and codes of practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, nursing, healthcare management or a related field.
• Experience in dermatology or rare diseases and proven success managing key accounts with healthcare professionals and institutional stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical compliance requirements and ability to work within approved processes and local regulations.
• Confidence using CRM systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.
• Strategic, resilient and collaborative mindset with clear communication and negotiation skills.
