Kitchen and Laundry Technician – Dubai

About the role

The Kitchen and Laundry Technician supports the daily operations of Sheraton The Walk Dubai by responding to guest repair requests and maintaining all kitchen, laundry and mechanical room equipment. This onsite role ensures a safe, functional environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest maintenance requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of kitchen, laundry and mechanical equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment and machines visually and conduct routine checks.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to the next shift.
• Carry out minor repairs: painting, drywall, wood trim, light bulb and filter replacement.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and electronic systems.
• Program televisions, perform housekeeping‑related inventory duties and use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Maintain interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to acquire further technical knowledge on the job.
• Good computer skills for inputting schedules and temperature changes.
• Commitment to safety policies, reporting hazards and completing required training.
