Kitchen Steward – Abu Dhabi Edition

About the role

The Kitchen Steward supports the smooth operation of the hotel kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, handling dishwashing equipment, and ensuring all kitchen areas meet hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and sanitize kitchen, store‑room areas, tables, tools, knives and equipment using detergents and sanitizing chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock and ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate locations.
• Inspect, pull, stack and re‑wash items as needed; break down dirty bus tubs and manage trash and recycling.
• Clean and mop all assigned areas, dispose of glass safely and break down cardboard for recycling.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Dishwashing machine operation.
• Use of a three‑compartment sink for rinsing and sanitizing.
• Operation of trash compactor and handling of cleaning chemicals.
