Kitchen Technician – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Kitchen Technician will ensure all kitchen equipment operates safely and efficiently within Yas Plaza Hotels. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will follow hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Follow safety protocols, including Lockout‑Tagout and JSA procedures.
• Handle Freon, brazing tasks, and gas cylinders safely.
• Read and interpret operating manuals, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and guests regarding equipment status.

Required profile

• Technical degree, equivalent certificate, apprenticeship, or relevant on‑the‑job experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the hotel industry.
• Solid knowledge of kitchen and laundry equipment operation and maintenance.
• Understanding of safety operations for various kitchen equipment.
• Basic competence in Freon handling, brazing, and gas‑cylinder management.
• Ability to read and apply safety documentation such as Lockout‑Tagout and JSA.
