Kitchen/Laundry Technician

About the role

The Kitchen/Laundry Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of kitchen and laundry equipment throughout the hotel. The role ensures that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, while minimizing operational downtime and maintaining compliance with hotel standards, safety requirements, and manufacturer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, and refrigeration systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment faults.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE usage.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, HVAC, or related field.
• Previous experience in hotel engineering or with commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in a multicultural team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
