Lab Technician – Al Maharat

About the role

The UAE National Laboratory Technician will support the academic laboratory at Al Maharat by preparing equipment, conducting procedures, and ensuring a safe and well‑documented environment for practical sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials for practical sessions and testing.
• Perform laboratory procedures following established protocols.
• Maintain and coordinate servicing of laboratory equipment.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage laboratory stock.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection‑control regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory activities.
• Assist faculty, instructors, and students during lab sessions.
• Dispose of laboratory waste according to safety guidelines.
• Conduct quality‑control checks and report equipment malfunctions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
