Laboratory Chemist / Chemical Technician

About the role

Join Aquaness Chemicals' Lab Department in Dubai to perform high‑quality analytical testing for water‑treatment chemicals and related products. You will ensure precision, compliance and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on raw materials, finished goods and customer samples.
• Apply ASTM, IP, ISO and in‑house methods for analytical testing.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain instruments such as pH meters, conductivity meters, FTIR, viscometers and density meters.
• Prepare reagents, standards and test solutions; record and report results accurately.
• Investigate out‑of‑specification results and support product‑quality troubleshooting.
• Maintain laboratory safety, environmental compliance and ISO‑based quality documentation.
• Manage inventory of chemicals, glassware and consumables; coordinate quotations for calibration and maintenance.
• Assist with method development, validation, internal audits and ISO 17025 documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in industrial, petrochemical, oil‑field, water‑treatment or chemical manufacturing labs (5 years preferred).
• ISO 17025 certification or proven awareness training (mandatory).
• Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Dubai.

Required skills

• Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation: pH meter, conductivity meter, FTIR, viscometer, density meter.
• Chemical handling and MSDS interpretation.
• ISO 17025 awareness and quality‑management documentation.
• Microsoft Office and technical report writing.
