Land Surveyor - Sewerage Treatment Plant Projects

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Land Surveyor to join its team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role leads surveying operations and provides technical expertise for sewerage treatment plant projects. The position is listed as a contract.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct land surveys and site assessments for sewerage treatment plant projects using advanced surveying equipment and technology
• Analyse survey data and prepare technical reports, site plans and documentation in line with UAE construction standards and regulations
• Manage and oversee surveying teams, keeping projects on schedule and to quality benchmarks
• Use AutoCAD, GIS software and surveying instruments to produce accurate site maps and technical drawings
• Coordinate with civil engineers, project managers and contractors so survey data matches project specifications and design requirements
• Perform quality control checks, keep records of survey data and measurements, and stay current with surveying technology such as GPS/GNSS and drone surveying
• Ensure compliance with local surveying regulations, safety protocols and environmental requirements in Dubai and the UAE
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior surveying staff

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in land surveying, with at least 5 years on stormwater, wastewater or sewerage treatment plant projects
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and sewerage treatment plant design and construction
• Demonstrated expertise in site analysis, measurement accuracy and technical documentation
• Candidates with previous Dubai Municipality approval preferred
