Landscape Site Engineer

About the role

GHD, a global multidisciplinary professional services firm, is seeking a Landscape Site Engineer to support the Resident Engineer on construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supervising landscape and irrigation works, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring technical quality on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer with contractual duties and supervise landscape, irrigation, soft‑scape and hard‑scape works.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs and as‑built drawings related to landscaping.
• Conduct garden installations, nursery inspections, and irrigation system design.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and surveillance reports for non‑conformances.
• Monitor procurement, deliveries and contractor performance to maintain schedule compliance.
• Lead snagging/de‑snagging processes and support variation cost assessments.

Required profile

• Degree in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in landscape construction and irrigation design.
• UAE driving licence and preferably local authority registration.
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong communication and relationship‑building skills.

• BIM360 proficiency.
• Irrigation system design.
• Cost estimation for landscape projects.
• Construction supervision and technical document review.
• Procurement monitoring and delivery coordination.
• Health & safety compliance in landscape works.
