About the role
The Laundry Attendant coordinates and assists the laundry production and dry‑cleaning areas of the hotel’s laundry department. The role oversees guest laundry and uniform productivity, conducts weekly inventories and supports other duties as assigned by management.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, log and tag guest laundry items, reporting any damage or missing items.
- Operate tagging machines, micros systems and laundry machinery (washers, dryers, ironers).
- Sort, fold and store dried linens, and process torn or stained items.
- Perform de‑staining cycles, clean lint traps and sweep the laundry room.
- Load laundry items into washers following the appropriate program and verify quantities on requisitions.
Required profile
- No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a laundry or housekeeping environment.
Required skills
- Tagging machine operation.
- Micros system operation.
- Operation of laundry equipment such as washers, dryers and ironers.
