Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures that all linen, terry, and clothing items are cleaned, inspected, and managed according to the hotel's high standards of hygiene and presentation. Working within the hotel’s laundry department, you will support a clean and efficient environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Protect and maintain company tools, equipment, and machines in line with policies.
• Keep uniforms, nametags, and personal appearance clean, hygienic, and professional.
• Inspect linen and terry for damage and remove compromised items from circulation.
• Separate soiled articles by colour, fabric type, and cleaning technique before washing or dry‑cleaning.
• Maintain accurate records of washed items, load counts, and dry‑cleaning poundage.
• Transport carts of washed articles to dryers and load them according to size specifications.
• Follow environmental and safety procedures, including proper chemical handling, waste reduction, and pollution control.
• Support co‑workers with dignity and respect and perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.
