Laundry Attendant

About the role

Rixos Al Mairid is looking for a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join its laundry team. The role involves washing, drying, ironing and folding linens, towels, uniforms and guest laundry while maintaining high hygiene and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate washers, dryers and ironing equipment to clean hotel textiles.
• Sort laundry by fabric type and colour, inspect for stains or damage.
• Treat stains using appropriate techniques and chemicals.
• Fold, stack and organise clean items for distribution.
• Handle guest laundry requests, ensuring timely pickup, cleaning and return.
• Monitor linen and uniform inventory, reporting shortages or damages.
• Report any equipment malfunctions and ensure routine maintenance.
• Follow hygiene, safety and sanitation procedures, including chemical handling.
• Manage lost‑and‑found items according to hotel protocol.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments for seamless operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping or hospitality is an advantage.
• Physical stamina to stand long hours, lift heavy loads and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage time efficiently.

Required skills

• Familiarity with commercial laundry machines.
• Knowledge of detergents and stain‑removal techniques.
