Lead Auditor - Certification Department

About the role

A permanent Lead Auditor position within the Certification Department in Abu Dhabi, reporting to the Operations Lead UAE and the Certification Manager. The role covers external audits under ISO standards, client management and certification activities, working closely with the Certification Manager, Technical Manager, Operations Lead and other auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and complete external audits in line with ISO standards, including the full certificate cycle
• Manage clients during audits: set expectations, give regular updates, handle NCRs and reports, and resolve technical queries
• Submit completed reports to the technical centre for approval
• Follow accreditation requirements and HSE rules on field and travel
• Track, manage and communicate audit plans and schedules
• Work impartially, with no conflict of interest, and support all teams
• Complete regular technical and HSE training and meet performance KPIs such as audit completion, HSE adherence and report completeness

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience executing, planning and completing audits for IMS/QHSE/BCMS for marine, oil and gas clients
• Bachelor's or Master's degree; preferred qualification in QHSE, BCMS, EnMS and AMS
• Fluency in English and Arabic
• Ability to work independently, with strong time management and client management skills

• Office 365 (Word, Excel) and planning/scheduling software
