Lead Civil/Structural Engineer – Expression of Interest

About the role

Wood is seeking a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join its UAE Business Unit and support a major on‑shore brownfield project in Dubai. The position is full‑time, office‑based in Dubai with occasional travel to project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned scopes of work for the on‑shore brownfield project, ensuring design and construction deliverables meet client specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical and project management, to integrate civil and structural solutions.
• Provide technical oversight, review calculations and drawings, and ensure compliance with quality management standards.
• Support project planning activities and contribute to progress reporting.
• Travel to site locations as required to supervise critical activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably on large‑scale on‑shore projects.
• Proven experience in brownfield project environments.
• Ability to lead a team and manage complex engineering scopes.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Dubai and travel as needed.
