Lead Contract Engineer – PMC

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Lead Contract Engineer to support the delivery of the ADNOC Offshore Umm Shaif Gas Cap Phase 1 Onshore Project (Packages 2 & 3). The role leads contract administration, commercial management, contractual compliance, change management and claims activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all contract administration and management activities for assigned project packages.
• Serve as the primary PMC focal point for contractual matters between ADNOC Offshore, PMC and EPC contractors.
• Review, administer and ensure compliance with EPC, procurement, construction and service contracts.
• Interpret contract terms, provide recommendations on rights, obligations and liabilities.
• Evaluate contractor change requests, extensions of time and claims, and prepare formal responses.
• Manage the change‑management process and maintain comprehensive contractual records.
• Support project teams in dispute avoidance, risk mitigation and final account negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of contract management and administration experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Significant experience with major onshore and offshore greenfield developments and EPC/EPCM contracts.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC contractual and commercial processes (highly desirable).
