Lead Design Engineer, Instrumentation & Automation (Offshore)

About the role

Rejlers is seeking a Lead Design Engineer for Instrumentation & Automation to manage and execute offshore projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves leading design reviews, preparing engineering documents, and ensuring safe, high‑quality delivery for complex oil & gas facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate FEED and detailed engineering deliverables for brown‑field projects such as wellhead towers, process platforms and islands.
• Prepare and review instrumentation and automation design outputs, including calculations, drawings and specifications using MS‑Office, SmartPlant SPI, AutoCAD and Micro‑Station.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team, monitor budgets and man‑hours, and ensure timely submission of documents to clients.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL studies, FAT/SAT, commissioning and as‑built preparation while maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (BSc or MSc) with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and automation for oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical projects.
• At least 8 years in a senior engineering role, with proven experience on FEED and EPC projects for ADNOC or similar clients.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a UAE work visa.
