Lead Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Lead Electrical Design Engineer will drive delivery of electrical engineering services for complex, high‑profile projects across the UAE and the Middle East, combining technical excellence with project leadership and client engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary electrical design teams and manage resource planning, budgeting and commercial performance.
• Oversee discipline resource allocation, forecasting and ensure optimal utilisation across multiple concurrent projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 developers, government entities and key stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership on design challenges, authority approvals and client expectations.
• Drive innovation, digital engineering initiatives and continuous improvement of design processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 + years of electrical engineering design experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience delivering large‑scale projects for Tier 1 developers and government clients in the UAE/GCC.
• Expert knowledge of UAE authority regulations (DEWA, TAQA, ADDC, AADC, Etihad Water & Electricity, Civil Defence).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred); PMP, LEED AP/GA, CIBSE or Chartered Engineer status highly desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, Dialux and ETAP.
• Strong project planning, resource management and budget control capabilities.
• Ability to mentor engineers, manage multidisciplinary teams and drive business development activities.
