Lead Engineer OT Cyber Security

About the role

Wood is seeking a senior Lead Engineer to shape and deliver OT Cyber Security solutions for clients in the energy and materials sectors. The role combines technical leadership, client consulting and business development to expand Wood’s Digital Integration services.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on cyber security strategies for industrial control systems (ICS) and develop implementation road‑maps.
• Conduct gap assessments using NIST, ISA 27001 and ISA/IEC‑62443 frameworks.
• Design, specify, configure and test OT security solutions, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
• Lead technical interfaces with control‑system vendors, third‑party partners and client operations/IT teams.
• Support project teams through solution delivery, commissioning and post‑implementation services.
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation, presentations and client relationship management.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging threats, standards and best practices in industrial cybersecurity.

Required profile

• Proven experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity within energy, materials or related industrial environments.
• Strong consulting background with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Track record of delivering complex security projects from assessment through commissioning.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams and support business growth initiatives.
