Lead – Land Test Team

About the role

The Land Test Team Lead will plan, design and execute complex land‑based test and evaluation programmes at Abu Al Abyad Test Range and other locations. Reporting to senior management, the role works closely with clients, test specialists, engineers and technicians to ensure safe, efficient and compliant testing of defence‑related systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and execution of arena, static rocket, engine, insensitive ammunition, mine‑resistance and other land test activities.
• Develop verification test plans, procedures and technical documentation in line with client and project requirements.
• Oversee test engineers and technicians during preparation, execution and data capture, ensuring data validity and compliance with standards.
• Manage setup, calibration, maintenance and utilisation of data acquisition systems, sensors and testing equipment.
• Prepare technical reports, analyse test data and present findings to stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop engineering and technical staff to strengthen team capability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience leading technical teams in defence, military, explosives or weapons testing environments.
• Familiarity with standards such as UN Series 4, STANAG 4569, STANAG 4297, STANAG 4439, AOP‑39 and AOP‑55.
• Strong knowledge of explosives, munitions, weapon systems and qualification testing methodologies.
• Ability to work flexible hours, travel as required and support customer needs.
