Lead Pipeline Engineer – Offshore Subsea Project

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Lead Pipeline Engineer will direct engineering, design, integrity management and execution of offshore and onshore pipeline projects for ADNOC Offshore, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes and project cost, quality and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead conceptual, FEED, detailed engineering and execution phases of pipeline projects, including offshore, subsea pipelines, risers and flowlines.
• Review and approve routing, wall‑thickness calculations, stress analysis, hydraulic studies and material selection.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, monitor deliverables, schedules and budgets, and provide technical guidance during procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
• Develop and implement pipeline integrity management strategies, review inspection reports and lead root‑cause analyses for failures.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE policies, participate in HAZID/HAZOP/SIL studies and promote a strong safety culture.
• Interface with ADNOC management, contractors and consultants, delivering technical presentations and reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Pipeline or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred); professional engineering certification (PE, CEng) advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of pipeline engineering experience in oil & gas, with at least 5 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Extensive experience on offshore/subsea projects, FEED, EPC and brown‑field modifications, preferably in the Middle East and ADNOC environments.
