Lead / Principal Forward Deployed Engineer, Salesforce

About the role

Salesforce is seeking a Lead / Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to design, implement, and support Data 360 solutions for enterprise customers in the UAE. The role focuses on building robust data pipelines, integrating AI capabilities, and ensuring secure, high‑performance data environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, test, and deploy Data 360 solutions within customer environments.
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines for batch and streaming sources, including identity resolution.
• Develop AI‑powered data integration platforms using retrieval‑augmented generation, vector databases, search indexes, and knowledge bases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across data pipelines, APIs, security, and integration layers.
• Collaborate with customers, architects, and implementation teams during deployment phases.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation with production deployments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Data 360, Data Cloud, or similar enterprise data platforms.
• Proven ability to work with enterprise customers and cross‑functional technical teams.

Required skills

• SQL and strong programming skills in at least one language (Python, Java, Apex, JavaScript).
• Expertise in data modeling, APIs, data pipelines, authentication, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka, cloud object storage, and master data management solutions.
• Knowledge of AI techniques, retrieval‑augmented models, vector databases, embedding pipelines, and knowledge graphs.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), OAuth, SAML, and event‑driven architectures.
