Lead Procurement Engineer (PMC)

About the role

The Lead Procurement Engineer will head all procurement activities for Wood's PMC team on offshore oil & gas and renewable energy projects in the UAE, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, project schedules and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with ADNOC guidelines and project requirements.
• Prepare procurement plans, vendor lists and long‑lead item strategies, and manage pre‑qualification of vendors.
• Oversee ITTs, RFQs, bid evaluations and lead technical/commercial clarifications.
• Negotiate contracts, recommend awards and ensure adherence to ICV and ADNOC Group Procurement policies.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance, manage supplier delivery schedules and resolve disputes.
• Track cost‑saving initiatives, value‑engineering opportunities and validate procurement‑related variation orders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 20+ years of experience in the oil & gas sector, with at least 10 years in procurement management.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC procurement systems and ICV compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• SAP procurement module.
• ARIBA (preferred).
• Contract negotiation and commercial awareness (FIDIC knowledge preferred).
• Risk assessment and supply‑chain management.
