Lead Product Service Engineer – Controls Platform HMI & Network

About the role

The Lead Product Service Engineer will provide direct technical support to GE Vernova Gas Power customers worldwide, focusing on control systems, HMI platforms, network communications and cyber‑security at power plants. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, guiding customers through engineering requests, and delivering technical guidance via webinars and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Own resolution of complex control‑system issues, including Mark VI/VIe, HMI platforms, industrial communication interfaces and cyber‑security incidents.
• Identify trending problems, develop counter‑measures and disseminate alerts to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design engineering, product management, regional engineering centers, manufacturing, vendors and customers to deliver timely solutions.
• Lead root‑cause analysis (RCA) activities and communicate corrective actions internally and to end‑customers.
• Promote lean principles and the GE Vernova Way in daily activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with HMI platforms, industrial communication protocols and cyber‑security in power‑plant environments.
• Proven customer‑facing experience with strong oral and written English communication.
• Willingness to travel 10‑15 % domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Human Machine Interface (HMI) platforms.
• Industrial communication protocols: Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, OPC, Profibus, CAN bus, EGD.
• Historians and data acquisition systems.
• Industrial cyber‑security concepts and practices.
• Mark VI/VIe product line expertise.
