Lead React Native Engineer – Mobile Architecture

About the role

Virtusa is seeking a highly experienced Lead React Native Engineer to design and build a scalable, enterprise‑grade mobile application from the ground up. You will own the architectural vision, set engineering standards, and guide a team of developers to deliver high‑performance iOS and Android apps.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and lead development of React Native mobile applications.
• Define mobile engineering standards, component libraries, and coding guidelines.
• Oversee code quality, conduct code reviews, and manage automated testing pipelines.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with product, business, and backend teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical growth within the team.
• Drive adoption of modern tooling such as AI‑assisted coding, CI/CD, and monitoring solutions.

Required profile

• 9+ years of total software development experience, with at least 6 years hands‑on React Native.
• Strong knowledge of ES6, TypeScript, and modular/monorepo architecture.
• Proven experience building native modules for iOS and Android.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in distributed teams.
