Lead – Risk Governance & Analytics

About the role

Responsible for maintaining, coordinating, and managing activities related to the risk framework and governance, risk appetite, committee structures, policies, and regulatory compliance within a banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual and periodic ICAAP and stress‑testing reports.
• Develop and maintain the annual recovery planning framework in coordination with Finance.
• Run regulatory stress tests as required by CBUAE and internal credit‑risk stress testing for all portfolios.
• Monitor and report risk metrics to senior management and support quarterly risk‑dashboard updates.
• Maintain and update risk‑appetite statements, caps, limits and related policies.
• Oversee credit‑rating tools such as Credit Lens and provide inputs to RAROC or similar credit systems.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (e.g., Chartered Accountant, MBA Finance) or relevant risk‑management certification.
• 8‑10 years of banking experience, including 5‑7 years in risk governance, credit risk or analytics.
• Professional risk certifications such as FRM or PRM are preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office (Excel) proficiency.
• Experience with Credit Lens and impairment calculation tools.
• Strong knowledge of Basel Pillar III, ICAAP, recovery planning and IFRS 9/ECL.
• Familiarity with CBUAE regulatory guidelines.
