Lead Site Reliability Engineer – Imunify Reliability Platform

About the role

This is a greenfield leadership opportunity to shape the reliability culture of a large‑scale, security‑focused product. You will define what “healthy” means across roughly 70 components, build the telemetry and observability platform from scratch, and work remotely with engineering squads across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Define and establish SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and monitoring standards for ~70 product components.
• Design and implement a telemetry collection pipeline for customer‑hosted agents and cloud services, balancing push‑based collection, sampling, privacy, and data quality.
• Consolidate dashboards and reporting into a reliable observability platform, retiring low‑value tooling.
• Implement symptom‑based, SLO‑driven alerting with multi‑window burn‑rate principles and clear escalation paths.
• Build a machine‑readable ownership and escalation model, establishing severity definitions and follow‑the‑sun hand‑off procedures.
• Strengthen incident command, blameless post‑mortem practices, and ensure actionable runbooks for all alerts.
• Coach engineering squads to own their operational responsibilities and improve alert quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading SRE initiatives in large, security‑oriented environments.
• Strong ability to work asynchronously in a remote‑first, multi‑time‑zone setting.
• Excellent collaboration skills with engineering leads and senior engineers.
• Track record of establishing measurable reliability outcomes rather than vanity dashboards.
