Learning Support Assistant – Arabic Teacher (Emirati)

About the role

The Aquila School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (Emirati) who will also serve as an Arabic teacher. The role combines classroom teaching with targeted learning‑support activities, working closely with the inclusion team to ensure every pupil makes maximal progress in a safe, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Arabic lessons while adapting content for diverse learners, including those attending the Hemam centre.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group learning support across the curriculum, delivering intervention programmes under the direction of the head of MoE subjects.
• Prepare teaching resources, supervise pupils during trips, breaks, swimming and PE sessions, and manage behaviour positively.
• Collaborate daily with teachers, attend weekly team meetings, and maintain clear written and oral communication about pupil progress.
• Uphold safeguarding policies, complete required vetting procedures, and ensure confidentiality at all times.
