Legal Advisor - Corporate and Commercial Law

About the role

Fam Investment, a subsidiary of Fam Holding focused on real estate investment in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Advisor. The role provides comprehensive legal support and ensures the company's operations comply with all applicable UAE laws and regulations. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in corporate and commercial law, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to give practical legal advice supporting business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, employment and general business matters.
• Handle legal disputes, claims, legal notices and litigation matters in coordination with external legal counsel.
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Advise and support management with timely legal opinions and practical solutions.
• Monitor changes in UAE legislation and regulatory requirements and assess their impact on operations.
• Assist with corporate governance, including legal records, corporate documents and regulatory filings.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks linked to business activities and transactions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in handling legal matters and sensitive information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB); a Master's degree or professional legal qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of legal experience in the UAE, with strong exposure to corporate and commercial matters.
• At least 5 years of experience in a legal firm.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and legal documents.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
