Legal Affairs Manager

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Legal Affairs Manager to lead our legal strategy, governance, and risk management across a fully remote setup in the United Arab Emirates. The role partners closely with executive leadership and multiple business functions to ensure compliance, protect organizational interests, and support strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal affairs strategies, governance frameworks, and operating models aligned with business priorities.
• Provide strategic legal advice to executive leadership, business units, and stakeholders on corporate, commercial, regulatory, operational, and risk matters.
• Oversee legal operations covering contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, employment issues, intellectual property, and dispute management.
• Collaborate with finance, compliance, risk, procurement, HR, operations, business development, and external counsel to facilitate effective decision‑making.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including service, partnership, vendor, licensing, and confidentiality contracts.
• Establish legal policies, procedures, contract standards, approval workflows, and documentation requirements.
• Conduct legal research, regulatory assessments, compliance reviews, and risk evaluations to support business initiatives.
• Monitor changes in UAE laws, regulations, industry standards, and international legal developments.
• Manage corporate governance activities such as board support, legal filings, and regulatory submissions.
• Lead dispute resolution efforts, including claims management, litigation coordination, mediation, arbitration, and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (typically 8+ years) in corporate legal affairs, compliance, or related fields.
• Proven ability to advise senior executives on complex legal and regulatory issues.
• Strong knowledge of UAE commercial, corporate, and regulatory law.
• Demonstrated experience managing contract lifecycles and corporate governance processes.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
