Legal Associate (Arabic)

About the role

VLegal is a client-focused legal consultancy offering strategic legal solutions to businesses, startups and individuals. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Legal Associate (Arabic) based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The associate drafts, reviews and translates legal documents and contracts in Arabic and English, conducts legal research on local and regional laws, analyses legal risks and supports legal strategies across corporate, commercial and emerging technology matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and translate legal documents and contracts in Arabic and English, ensuring accuracy, clarity and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct legal research on local and regional laws and analyse legal risks.
• Support the development of legal strategies across corporate, commercial and emerging technology matters.
• Assist in preparing client advice and manage case files.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders and support negotiations where needed.
• Work closely with senior consultants to deliver high-quality, timely legal solutions.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in Law, with knowledge of corporate and commercial legal frameworks in the UAE and the broader MENA region.
• Demonstrated experience preparing legal documents, including drafting, reviewing and translating contracts, agreements and legal opinions in Arabic and English.
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); admission to practice or relevant certification in a Middle Eastern jurisdiction is an advantage.
• Ability to identify, assess and address legal issues across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills to interpret legislation, assess legal risks and support strategic decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Arabic and English, able to explain complex legal issues clearly.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office.
• Familiarity with technology, cyber law or emerging technologies is a plus.
